It's game day for Flames softball! No. 21 Liberty hosts Virginia tonight at six o'clock at Kamphius Field at Liberty Softball Stadium in Lynchburg. Admission is free! The game features a pair of top 35 RPI teams, as Liberty is 34 in the nation and UVA is 28. The two clubs split the season series last year, each winning on the other's home field. You can hear tonight's game on the Liberty Flames mobile app and www.LibertyFlames.com. Pregame coverage begins at 5:45 Eastern.
And Flames Men's Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay is one of 13 coaches in the nation on this year's Achieving Coaching Excellence Honor Roll. The list includes Houston's Kelvin Sampson, Memphis' Penny Hardaway, who is head of the class. The honor roll annually recognizes coaches who achieve excellence on and off the court and in the community. This is McKay's third appearance on the honor roll since it began in 2020.
