Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, October 3, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Lady Flames volleyball team is off to a 2-0 start in Conference USA after Liberty picked up a pair of wins at Louisiana Tech last weekend. Senior outside hitter Kate Gammer totaled 29 kills in the two matches to lead the way for Liberty.
"Yeah, it was awesome. We came out and totally played like a team. We just had different people come in here and there and we played like a team and it totally showed, especially on that second day. So, it was nice to get the first two wins under our belt, a good start to conference, and we're feeling confident going into this weekend."
Liberty will host Jacksonville State for a pair of conference matches this weekend with game one on Friday night at six o'clock at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg.
No Flames football this Saturday but Midweek on the Mountain returns next Tuesday when Liberty hosts FIU in a Conference USA game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. inside Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. More details on game day can be found at www.LibertyFlames.com/Midweek.
