Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, May 30, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
With the return of EA Sports College Football video game, fans will now have the chance to not only play as their favorite team but with that team's players. Reportedly more than 10,000 players have opted in to the NIL agreement with EA Sports to be in the game, including Flames safety Quinton Reese.
"I've always grown up playing NCAA and just Madden in general, so, for me I can't wait to just be able to play as myself. Because when you're younger you can make your character but to have your character already made and in the game is a whole different story. So, I'm excited to just play."
The new game drops on July 19th. You can hear more of that conversation with Reese and Flames tight end Austin Henderson on the Liberty Flames podcast, wherever you get your podcasts.
And the Flames will open the 2024 season at home on Saturday August 31st. Liberty will take on Campbell at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. Game times for the upcoming year will be released at a later date.
