Two Liberty tennis players are on this year's Virginia Sports Information Director's all-state teams. Josh Wilson appears on the singles second team. Wilson and Christiaan Worst also made the doubles second team. For Wilson, it's his fourth singles all-state team appearance. Worst is making his second all-state doubles team appearance. The duo helped Liberty to a 17-10 season and the inaugural Men's NIT Championship.
On to track & field, Liberty All-American Calli Doan, is now also an Academic All-American®. It's the second straight year she's been named to the CSC Academic All-American® second team. Doan is just the second Lady Flame and the first since 2005 to earn multiple Academic All-American® honors.
And we're now just 65 days away from Flames football. Liberty opens the season at home against Bowling Green on September 2nd.
