Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, January 9, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Conference USA play resumes tonight for both the Liberty men's and women's basketball teams. The Lady Flames are at home hosting Sam Houston at 7 p.m. Liberty's 1-1 in the conference, while Sam Houston is 0-2. The Bearkats play an up-tempo style. Here's Flames Head Coach Carey Green with the keys to getting a win.
"Matching their energy - they played like this last year. We really struggled at their place. We just barely came alive in the last four or five minutes to win down at their place. So, they're going to come in disappointed in a loss but hungry, it was close. They're going to be hungry when they come in (tonight). We've got to be prepared."
Meanwhile, Liberty's men play at Sam Houston tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern. The Flames are looking for back-to-back CUSA wins while the Bearkats are trying to avoid an 0-3 start. You can hear both games on the Liberty Flames mobile app and www.LibertyFlames.com.
