Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, January 30, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
It's game day for Flames basketball – tonight Liberty's men are attempting to do something no one other team has done - beat Kennesaw State on it's home court. The Owls are 9-0 at home this year. Flames Head Coach Ritchie McKay says they're embracing the challenge.
"If you're going to experience all that you want in a season, you've got to be prepared for it. When you get games like this it exposes you for what you need to work on, and that's a good thing. Hopefully, we can learn from it after a 'W' rather than the alternative, but i welcome it. I think our guys welcome it."
The Conference USA match-up between Liberty and Kennesaw State tips off tonight at 8 p.m.
And the Lady Flames are at home tonight as Liberty welcomes Kennesaw State to Lynchburg. Tip off at Liberty Arena is set for 7 p.m. The Lady Flames have won seven straight at home and five in a row overall.
