Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, August 8, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Liberty football wide receiver Tyson Mobley is on the 2024 Comeback Player of the Year watch list. Mobley joins the Flames this year after spending four seasons at Coastal Carolina. Mobley ended up redshirting last year after suffering a season ending injury after only playing in four games. Mobley is one of 90 players from across the country and one of three in Conference USA on the watch list.
Flames Fan Appreciation Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 17 at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and is free and open to all fans. There'll be inflatable rides for kids and you can watch the Flames practice and get your first look at the 2024 team. Fans can also stay after for autographs and pictures with players and coaches.
And we're now just 23 days away from kickoff! Liberty hosts Campbell in the season opener on August 31st.
