Fall camps is finished and now Flames football has it's eyes on the season opener. Liberty will host Bowling Green next Saturday at 12 noon in Lynchburg. Flames Head Coach Jamey Chadwell meeting with the media on Wednesday says he's glad to be focusing on the first opponent.
"This camp felt like it was forever. You know, probably, it wasn't the hardest camp as far as practice but just all the different things it felt like we were here for four months. That's why I had to get my hair cut, there was so much gray showing, but I do think once you get in to school the players can sense something is coming and the urgency that's needed starts to pick up a little bit."
And the season begins tonight for the Liberty men's soccer team when it hosts Saint Peter's. Game time is 7 p.m. at Osborne Stadium in Lynchburg. Admission is free.
