Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Thursday, April 25, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Flames are playing for the Conference USA Golf Championship today. Liberty is one of four teams in match play at the course in Texarkana, Ark. The Flames finished the final day of stroke play on Wednesday at 5-under. Now, Liberty faces Sam Houston in match play this morning. Louisiana Tech will face UTEP and the winners will square off for the championship head-to-head this afternoon. Follow @LibertyGolf for updates.
Liberty is well represented at the upcoming World Athletics Relays. Current Flames track athletes from Trinidad and Tobago Omari Lewis and Reese Webster, will represent the Flames in the men's and women's 4x100 relay respectively. Former Flame All-American Alejandro Perlaza-Zapata from Colombia will run in the men's 4x400. The event will take place May 4th and 5th in Nassau, Bahamas.
