This is your Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, September 18, 2023, I'm Alan York.
Liberty football improved to 3-0 on the season Saturday after a 55-27 win at Buffalo. The 55 points scored is a season high for the Flames and so was their 569 yards of total offense. Here is head coach Jamey Chadwell.
Sophomore quarterback Kaidon Salter spearheaded the Flames' offense with a career-high 344 yards passing and five touchdown passes. CJ Daniels and Elijah Smoot both caught touchdown catches and both went over 100 yards receiving while linebacker Tyren Dupree paced the Flames' defense with two interceptions and seven tackles.
The Flames return to the road next Saturday as they take on 3-1 FIU in Miami at 6:30 p.m.
