Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, March 3, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Flames' spring football practice is winding down. Saturday, Liberty held it's annual spring game in front of fans at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. Afterwards, Head Coach Jamey Chadwell addressed the media.
"Our guys have been hungry. There's been a good chemistry and it's been a fun team to be around and a fun team to coach. I was pleased with our effort. We've got a lot of new guys in a lot of new positions, especially on offense. And just to see how they go out and compete in front of a crowd, in a game like setting with officials."
On to men's hoops – Liberty's six-game win streak is over after Sunday's loss to Kennesaw State. The Owls topped the Flames, 85-80 at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg.
And the Lady Flames win back-to-back Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Saturday, Liberty won the CUSA women's title, giving the Lady Flames four straight conference titles overall. Liberty's men finished a close second to Kennesaw State.
