Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, March 25, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Beginning with baseball, Liberty dismantles Middle Tennessee on Sunday, 25-9 to give the Flames a Conference USA series win. The Flames hit a program-record eight home runs and scored 11 runs in the first inning to run away with it. Third baseman Cam Foster had four hits, including two homers and five RBI. Liberty returns home to host No. 16 Wake Forest on Tuesday.
On to softball, the Lady Flames also got a CUSA series win on the road this weekend. Liberty took two of three at Sam Houston but the Bearkats got an 8-5 win on Sunday to salvage one in the series. Liberty's now 7-2 in the conference.
The Lady Flames tennis team had a 2-0 weekend as No. 65 ranked Liberty downed George Washington, 4-0 on Sunday. Liberty also beat Sam Houston, 4-0 on Friday in the Lady Flames Conference USA debut.
