Former Liberty basketball forward Kyle Rode continues to build his pro stock. Friday, Rode was part of an NBA pre-draft workout with the Indiana Pacers. It's the third team rode has worked out for and he has others scheduled this week.
"I loved how the coaches were so upbeat, encouraging, similar to other workouts too they really just want to see you compete and learn. I really just try to take it as an opportunity to compete and grow my game and learn something from one of the best organizations in the world."
Rode shot 39 percent from three with 100 made three's in his final season with the Flames but he wants teams to know there's more to his game than his shooting.
"Yeah, I feel like my versatility is something that I think can help a team. Playing with different lineups, playing with different guys. I want to show that I can move my feet, defend and be tough. I feel like in the NBA everybody is so skilled you've just got to make it as tough as you can."
The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 26th and 27th in New York.
