Flames football is replacing quite a few faces on it's defense entering this season. Liberty led the nation in tackles for loss last year and was among the top teams in sacks. Only three starters return, including safety Quinton Reese, who says the biggest key to success this year is.
"Not really thinking about what we did last year and just kind of focusing on what's coming up ahead of us because that's where you can kind of get caught in the rough is thinking about what we did last year. I feel like over the summer and over the spring we've taken tremendous strides just as a group and as a unit and getting better daily and not really over or under thinking anything."
Liberty opens fall camp on Wednesday under first-year Head Coach Jamey Chadwell.
And we're now just 33 days away from kickoff. Liberty opens the season at home against Bowling Green on September 2nd from Williams Stadium in Lynchburg.
