Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, January 13, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Flames men's basketball team splits it's first Conference USA road trip. After winning at Sam Houston, last Thursday, Liberty dropped Saturday's game at Louisiana Tech, 79-74 the final. Taelon Peter made history with 33 points; the most points ever scored off the bench by a Liberty player in the Division I era. Liberty's 2-2 in the conference and returns home to host UTEP this Thursday night at nine o'clock.
The Lady Flames move to 3-1 in Conference USA after sweeping last week's games at home. Saturday, Liberty topped Louisiana Tech, 75-64 at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg. This week, the Lady Flames go on the road when Liberty visits UTEP on Thursday and New Mexico State on Saturday.
And we're now just 32 days away from the start of Flames baseball. Liberty will open the season at home with first-year head coach Bradley LeCroy against St. John's on February 14th.
