Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, February 24, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Starting with softball, the Lady Flames are coming off a perfect 4-0 weekend. Sunday, 20th ranked Liberty swept a doubleheader in Lynchburg, beating Hofstra, 8-0 in game one, then beating Radford, 3-2 in game two. Liberty also notched wins over Charleston Southern and St. Joseph's, outscoring the opposition by a combined 32-4.
The Lady Flames swimming & diving team is once again Atlantic Sun Conference champions. Liberty wrapped up it's seventh straight conference title on Saturday in Knoxville, Tenne For the meet, Liberty earned 40 A finals, 26 podiums and 13 event wins.
And a fight for first place in Conference USA is coming this week for the Flames men's basketball team. After it's 58-45 win over FIU on Saturday, Liberty is just a half-game back of Jacksonville State for the top spot. The two teams will meet this Thursday night at seven o'clock in Lynchburg.
