Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, February 17, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Highlighting some big, recent wins for the Flames, we start with baseball - Sunday in Lynchburg, Liberty throttled St. John's, 11-2, capping a three-game series sweep for the Flames and giving new head coach Bradley LeCroy a 3-0 start. Liberty visits No. 13 NC State on Tuesday in a battle of 3-0 clubs.
In softball, the Lady Flames are 8-3 after picking up wins over 12th ranked Alabama and Charlotte at the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. Sunday, Auburn edged 20th ranked Liberty, 2-1. Liberty begins a 13-game homestand this Friday.
To men's hoops – Liberty has the longest winning streak in Conference USA at four straight after the Flames 76-69 win at UTEP on Saturday. Liberty's now 21-5 and 9-4 in CUSA, one game out of first place.
