In year two as Liberty football's Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line coach Skylor Magee continues to work towards building depth, particularly on the D-line. Magee says returning players now having a year in the scheme helps make everyone better.
"Now, you're starting to see older guys coaching up younger guys to try to bring them along faster and try to get them to where they can contribute. That's probably been the best thing that I've seen from our defense is now, they've done it. They've lived it. Now, what can we do to be better? Well, we need more guys that can play and that's been the biggest key to this summer."
The Flames return experience on the D-line with D-ends Bryce Dixon and TJ Bush, tackles Jay Hardy and Chris Boti and Preseason CUSA Player of the Year CJ Bazile, Jr. on the edge.
And we're just 19 days away from kickoff! Liberty hosts Campbell in the season opener on August 31st.
