Starting with Flames football – we're now one day away from the Flames' Conference USA home opener. 2-0 Liberty will host 0-2 UTEP at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg on Saturday night at six o'clock. If you're coming to the game, www.LibertyFlames.com/gameday is the best source of news, traffic flow and game day information. Liberty Flames Sports Network radio airtime is 4:30 Eastern.
The Liberty men's basketball non-conference schedule includes a trip to the Virgin Islands for three games and also games against Valpairaso, FAU and Charleston. The schedule was announced Thursday. Liberty opens the season on November fourth.
The unbeaten streak is still alive for the Lady Flames soccer team. Thursday night, 24th ranked Liberty dismantled George Mason, 6-0 on the road in Fairfax, Va. The Lady Flames are now 8-0-1.
