Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, October 20, 2023, I'm Nick Pierce.
Conference USA's men's basketball television deal has five Liberty games on national linear broadcasts. ESPNU will air Liberty's games against Grand Canyon on December 9th and Louisiana Tech on January 14th and February 10th. CBS Sports Network will carry Liberty's game at Western Kentucky on January 6th and it's home game against New Mexico State on February 29th. The rest of the Flames' regular season games will air on ESPN+.
Flames football quarterback Kaidon Salter has been added to the Manning Award watchlist. The award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl and each year it's given to the top quarterback in college football. Salter and the 7-0 Liberty Flames will visit Western Kentucky for a Conference USA game Tuesday night.
And the sixth ranked Liberty field hockey team is set to host Connecticut tonight in a BIG EAST battle. Game time is 6 p.m. on East Campus.
