Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, November 3, 2023, I'm Nick Pierce.
Liberty football headlines a busy weekend for Flames athletics. With a win over Louisiana Tech, Liberty can secure home field advantage in the Conference USA title game. The Flames will host the Bulldogs on Saturday night at six o'clock. Liberty is 8-0 and one of eight unbeaten teams remaining in the nation.
On to women's soccer – Liberty meets Louisiana Tech tonight in the Conference USA semifinals. Game time is 8 p.m. Eastern on the Louisiana Tech campus. The winner will play for the conference title on Sunday.
The Lady Flames field hockey team is searching for it's third straight BIG EAST title this weekend. Sixth ranked Liberty will face Villanova today in the BIG EAST semifinals at one o'clock. This weekend's tournament is hosted by Temple.
And Flames basketball is coming up – Monday, Liberty's men will open season at home against Mid-Atlantic Christian at seven o'clock. Before that, the Lady Flames open their season at home against Frostburg state Monday at three o'clock.
