Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, May 3, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
A doubleheader is now scheduled for today at Liberty Baseball Stadium. Liberty will take on FIU in games one and two of a crucial three-game Conference USA series. The weekend schedule was revised on Thursday due to rain and storms being in the Lynchburg forecast for this weekend. Today's first game gets underway at 4:30 Eastern. Airtime is 4:00 p.m. on the Liberty Flames Sports Network from Van Wagner.
On to softball, the Lady Flames are in Baton Rouge this weekend. Liberty will close out the regular season with a three-game set at tenth ranked LSU. Game one is tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern. You can hear the entire series on the Liberty Flames Sports Network from Van Wagner on www.LibertyFlames.com and the Flames mobile app.
And the Liberty golf team is headed to the Stanford Regional. The Flames punched their postseason ticket last week by winning the Conference USA title. The three-day event begins on Monday, May 13th.
