Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, May 10, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Lady Flames are still alive at the Conference USA Softball Championship. Thursday, after losing it's opening game to New Mexico State, Liberty rallied to beat UTEP, 13-10 in Las Cruces, N.M. Liberty overcame deficits of 5-0 and 8-4 to win the game. Brynn McManus had three hits, including a game-tying grand slam.
Today, Liberty faces Louisiana Tech in another elimination game at 4:30 Eastern.
Flames baseball is in Texas to open a crucial three-game CUSA series at Dallas Baptist. Game one is tonight at 7:35 Eastern. The Flames trail the Patriots by just one game for second place in the conference standings.
