Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, July 19, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Former Wichita State standout Brylee Kelly is joining the Liberty volleyball coaching staff. Kelly will be an assistant to acting head coach Nolan Albrecht this fall. Kelly was a two-time All-AAC player at Wichita State. Last year, in her final season on the court, Kelly helped the Shockers win the NIVC title. Kelly also served as a club coach for the Shockwave volleyball club in 2019.
The Flames men's and women's track & field teams are each being honored as all-academic teams by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Also, 19 Flames and Lady Flames earned individual all-academic recognition. The women's team carried a cumulative 3.52 grade point average while the men's team had a 3.33.
And we're just 43 days away from Flames football! Liberty opens the year at home against Campbell on August 31st.
