Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, July 12, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Conference USA men's and women's basketball schedules have been released. Liberty's men will open conference play at home against defending CUSA champion Western Kentucky on Thursday, January 2nd. The Flames first conference road trip will be the following week at Sam Houston and Louisiana Tech. This year, Liberty will play 18 conference games with the addition of Kennesaw State to CUSA, giving the league ten teams. Liberty will play each team in the conference twice, once at home and once on the road.
The Lady Flames will also open CUSA play on January 2nd but it will be on the road at Western Kentucky. Liberty will then travel to defending CUSA champion Middle Tennessee before playing it's first two conference home games the following week.
Once again, this year's men's and women's Conference USA tournaments will be held the same week in Huntsville, Ala. from March 11th through the 15th.
