Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, December 13, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Flames look to extend their men's basketball win streak to seven this weekend when Liberty hosts North Carolina A&T. Saturday's game tips off at 7 p.m. at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg. Liberty is unbeaten at home and 9-1 overall, the best ten game stretch to start a year since the Flames began the 2019 season 14-0. You can hear Saturday's game on Liberty Flames Sports Network radio and on the Liberty Flames mobile app.
The liberty women's swimming and diving team is moving to the American Athletic Conference. The Lady Flames are set to join the AAC beginning July 1, 2025. James Madison and Marshall are also joining the conference next year, which will bring membership to nine schools.
And Liberty football left guard Jordan White is a HERO Sports Group of Five All-American. White started all 11 games this year and ranks fourth in the nation for Pro Football Focus grades among offensive guards.
