Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, April 19, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Flames baseball is at Western Kentucky tonight to open a three-game Conference USA series. The Flames and Hilltoppers will play game one at 7 p.m. Eastern. Liberty has a one-game lead over WKU for first place in the conference standings. You can hear tonight's game on www.LibertyFlames.com and the Flames mobile app on the Liberty Flames Sports Network from Van Wagner.
On to softball – the Lady Flames are at home this weekend as Liberty takes on New Mexico State. Game one of that three-game CUSA series is tonight at 6 p.m. Eastern. Liberty's won six of it's last seven coming into the series.
And the Flames' men's and women's tennis teams are preparing for the Conference USA Championships. Today in Miami, the No. 2 seed Lady Flames will face No. 7 seed New Mexico State in the tournament quarterfinals at 10 a.m. Eastern. On Saturday, the Liberty men's team will face Jacksonville State in the tournament semifinals – hosted by Middle Tennessee. Liberty's men are also the No. 2 seed.
