Big Conference USA baseball series this weekend in Lynchburg. Liberty hosts No. 25 Western Kentucky in a three-game set. Game one is tonight at six o'clock Eastern. The Flames trail the Hilltoppers by one game for second place in the CUSA standings. WKU is 28-5 and it's pitching staff leads the nation with a 2.67 ERA. On to softball, the Lady Flames are in Las Cruces, New Mexico this weekend. No, 21 Liberty will face New Mexico State in a three-game Conference USA series. Game one is tonight at eight p.m. Eastern. All three games are on ESPN+.
After day one of the Duke Invitational, Liberty track & field All-American Meredith Engle is in fourth place in the heptathlon. Engle posted her best-ever first day score on Thursday.
