Flames’ Kpardeh Selected SoCon Offensive Player of the Week

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Liberty forward Samon Kpardeh has been named the SoCon Player of the Week by the conference office for the first week of the 2026 season.
Kpardeh scored twice during Liberty's trip to San Diego to begin the season last week. The forward tallied a goal in each of the Flames' games.
The sophomore, a transfer from Gardner-Webb, scored the Flames' first goal of the year, as Liberty defeated San Diego State 2-1 on Thursday. On Sunday, Kpardeh gave Liberty a 1-0 halftime lead before the Flames fell 3-1 to then No. 18 San Diego. San Diego moved up to No. 2 in the country in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Rankings released today.
Kpardeh played all 180 minutes for Liberty (1-1) during their two games in San Diego. He attempted 10 shots.
Kpardeh and Liberty will host their first home game of the season on Friday. The Flames will welcome the FGCU Eagles to Osborne Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
