
Blair’s Gem Highlights Liberty’s 6-2 Win at WKU

With the victories in the first two games of the series, Liberty captures the three-game conference series. The Flames have won six straight games.
Blair, named to the Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch list on Thursday and to the Baseball America Pitcher of the Year Watch list on Wednesday, gave up one run on six hits over seven innings. The junior struck out eight and walked one. He retired seven in a row at one point in the contest.
Scilley went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk in the game. The Flames' designated hitter was on base four times as he also walked.
Liberty shortstop Tanner Marsh had two hits, including a double, knocking in two runs and scoring a run.
The Flames move to 8-3 in CUSA and 21-9 overall. Liberty has won five straight conference games. Western Kentucky drops to 4-7 in CUSA and 16-15 overall.
