LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty women's tennis' Yoanna Radulova and Maria Turchetto were tabbed the Conference USA Women's Tennis Doubles Pair of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Wednesday.
The honor marks the team's fourth weekly honor alongside Milana Tsulygina (Jan. 28) and Daniella O'Neill (Feb. 11). The Lady Flames No. 1 pair also received the recognition on Jan. 28.
The duo joins Louisiana Tech's Zoie Epps and Isabella Walker as the only CUSA pairings to be named the CUSA Doubles Pair of the Week multiple times this spring.
The Liberty pair helped guide Liberty to a 2-0 weekend with triumphs over Marshall (4-3) and East Carolina (4-0). The No. 1 duo ousted Marshall's best with a 6-4 final. The two faced an uphill battle, trailing 3-5 after the teams already split No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The pair rallied to put together four straight games against Kim Auerswald and Reese Calvo to earn the Lady Flames the doubles point.
Radulova and Turchetto have played to an 8-1 record together this season, all in the No. 1 doubles position. They are 15-4 for the season.
The Lady Flames duo is back in action in a pair of home matches this weekend against ETSU (7-2) on Friday at 2 p.m. and hosting Memphis (2-9) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
