
Arraez, O’Neill Tabbed the CUSA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Both teams achieved a 2-0 weekend as both athletes earned a pair of singles triumphs in the No. 1 singles position. The Men's team topped Longwood (7-0) and ended Penn State's perfect 7-0 season (6-1) at home. The Lady Flames took to the road for triumphs at George Washington (7-0) and Navy (5-2).
The honor marks the first of the season for the men's tennis team. Arraez secures the honor for the second time in his career after he was named the CUSA Athlete of the Week last season (April 2). O'Neill represents the Lady Flames' second CUSA Athlete of the Week this season (Milana Tsulygina, Jan. 28) and the third weekly award in 2026.
Arraez continues to lead the Flames in singles, making every start in the No. 1 singles slot. The junior secured triumphs over Longwood's Daniel Borisov 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 and Penn State's Michael Wright 6-2, 6-4. He also went 2-0 in doubles in No. 3 doubles with Guy Vorwerk. The Vigo, Spain native improved to 4-3 in singles this season.

O'Neill made her first two appearances in the No. 1 singles position this season. The Dorado, Puerto Rico native bested George Washington's Solange Skeene 6-1, 6-3 and ousted Navy's Olivia Fermo 6-1, 7-5. The redshirt junior is now 4-1 in singles this season with a 4-2 doubles mark.

Both programs are set for a pair of challenging road matchups this weekend. The men's tennis team flies to the West Coast to visit Oregon (7-2) on Friday and battle Portland (2-5) in a neutral-site match on Saturday. The Lady Flames head to take on Elon (1-1) on Friday before meeting Wake Forest (3-3) on Saturday.
