• The Liberty Flames travel to Miami, Fla., to face the FIU Panthers in a CUSA series and the final three road games of their regular season this weekend. The two teams met last year in Lynchburg, with the Flames taking the series 2-1. After dropping the opening game, Liberty won the final two games of the series
• Liberty enters the series off a 7-4 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday evening. The Flames defeated the Hokies for the second time in eight days to snap a three-game losing streak. Liberty won 13-4 in Blacksburg on April 29.Â
• With the win, Liberty moves to 8-4 in midweek games and 7-3 against teams from the ACC.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.
Marsh Madness
• The saying goes that "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." However, that can't be said of Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh.  He hit .400 and scored eight runs, both team-highs, over the final seven games of March.Â
• The shortstop did the same thing last season, hitting .357 with seven RBI and five runs scored over the last seven games of March.
• Marsh's success at the plate continued through April, as he ended up having a hit in a team-high 14 consecutive games, the most by a Flame this season.
• Since collecting two hits in Liberty's win over Wake Forest on March 18, Marsh has hit a team-leading .345.  He has 39 hits, nine more than any other Flame, and walked 18 times to sport a .435 on-base percentage over the 27 games. He has 13 multi-hit games during the span.
• Marsh has scored 27 runs since March 18 and enters the weekend seventh in CUSA with 47 runs scored on the season.
Troyer Posts a Strong April
• Since the beginning of April, right fielder Camden Troyer has been one of Liberty's leading run producers. The senior has 16 RBI and leads the Flames with 23 runs scored over the last 20 games. The senior has scored four more runs than any other Flames during that span.
• Troyer has moved into the CUSA leaders in RBI and runs scored. The outfielder leads Liberty and is fifth in the Conference USA with 48 runs scored. He is one of three Flames among the CUSA leaders in RBI, currently  in10th with 42.Â
• The outfielder has hit .325 and posted a team-high .419 on-base percentage over the 20 games since April 4. He has hit five of his 10 home runs on the season and he has a team-leading .571 slugging percentage during the span.
• Troyer has collected eight multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games during the stretch. He has had two or more hits in five of the last 10 games.
• He kicked off the month by going 4-for-4 and scoring four runs in Liberty's victory over Middle Tennessee on April 4.
•Troyer has been the toughest batter to strike out in CUSA this season. He has struck once every 10.8 at bats this season.
Among National Leaders in Fielding
• Liberty enters the weekend among the national leaders in fielding percentage. The Flames lead Conference USA and are fourth nationally with a 0.983 fielding percentage.Â
• Liberty has committed 30 errors this season and did not commit an error in 29 games (59.1% of its games this season).
• The program record for fielding percentage in season is .984 set by the 2021 Flames. Liberty led the nation in fielding percentage that season.
