The two teams will meet again a week from tomorrow at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium in Lynchburg.
• Last season, the two teams split their two meetings. The Hokies defeated the Flames 13-3 in eight innings in Blacksburg, while Liberty won at Virginia Tech 13-8 in Lynchburg.
• The Flames dropped a three-game CUSA series to Kennesaw State at home this weekend, two games to one. On the road, Liberty is 7-11 this season.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.

• The left-hander has struck out 14 and walked six in 11 relief appearances.
Troyer Continues to Roll
• Since mid-March, right fielder Camden Troyer has been one of Liberty's leading run producers. The senior has 28 RBI and leads the Flames with 31 runs scored over the last 28 games.
• Due to the burst, Troyer has moved into the CUSA leaders in RBI and runs scored. The outfielder leads Liberty and is fifth in the Conference USA with 46 runs scored. He is one of three Flames among the CUSA leaders in RBI, currently tying for ninth with 40. Troyer also leads Liberty with a .315 batting average.
• The outfielder has hit .343 and posted a .453 on-base percentage over the 28 games. He has hit seven of his 10 home runs on the season during the span.
• Troyer has 12 multi-hit games, including a three-game hit game against Wake Forest last Tuesday, and seven multi-RBI games since March 11.
• The former Clemson Tiger started his RBI burst on March 11 against his former team with a home run and triple, two RBI and two runs scored. He hit his fourth home run of the year in his first at bat of the game.
• This past week, Troyer had two or more hits in all four of Liberty's games, hitting .600 with six RBI and scoring eight runs. Five of his nine hits were for extra bases, including two home runs.
• He has been one of the tougher batters to strike out in CUSA and ranks 22nd nationally. He has struck once every 13.5 at bats. In 162 at bats, the outfielder has struck out 12 times.
Marsh Madness
• The saying goes that "March comes in lik  a lion and goes out like a lamb." However, that can't be said of Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh. He hit .400 and scored eight runs, both team-highs, over the final seven games of March.
• The shortstop did the same thing last season, hitting .357 with seven RBI and fi ve runs scored over the last seven games of March.
• Marsh's success at the plate has continued through April, and he ended up having a hit in a team-high 14 consecutive games, the most by a Flame this season.
• Since collecting two hits in Liberty's win over Wake Forest on March 18, Marsh has hit a team-leading .356. He has 32 hits, five more than any other Flame, and has also walked 17 times to sport a .458 on-base percentage over the 22 games. He has 11 multi-hit games during the span.
• Marsh had a 23-game reached base safely streak, which was snapped last Tuesday.
