Game Coverage
Quick Hits
 • The Liberty Flames will finish a five-game road swing by visiting the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Tuesday evening at David F. Couch Field in Winston-Salem, N.C. The game will be the second between the two teams this season. Liberty defeated Wake Forest 11-8 in Lynchburg on March 18.
• Liberty is currently 2-2 on its road trip. The Flames come off a challenging weekend series at Louisiana Tech, dropping two of the three games. Liberty began the trip with a 10-3 win at Virginia last Tuesday. The win was the first for the Flames in Charlottesville since 2012. It is the first time since 2000 that Liberty won both games against the Cavaliers in a season.
• The Flames are 6-3 in midweek games and have a 5-2 record against teams from the ACC in the midweek.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.
Among National Leaders in Fielding
• Liberty enters the week among the national leaders in fielding percentage. The Flames lead Conference USA and are 13th nationally with a 0.980 fielding percentage.
• Liberty has committed 28 errors this season and did not commit an error in 22 games (55% of its games this season).
Marsh Madness
• The saying goes that "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." However, that can't be said of Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh. He hit .400 and scored eight runs, both team-highs, over the final seven games of March.
• The shortstop did the same thing last season, hitting .357 with seven RBI and five runs scored over the last seven games of March.
• Marsh's success at the plate has continued into April, and he ended up having a hit in a teamhigh 14 consecutive games, the most by a Flame this season.
• Since collecting two hits in Liberty's win over Wake Forest on March 18, Marsh has hit a teamleading .359. He has 28 hits, 10 more than any Flame, and has also walked 11 times to sport a .438 on-base percentage during the span. • Marsh enters the weekend having reached base in 23 consecutive games
Troyer Gets Rolling
• Since mid-March, right fielder Camden Troyer has been one of Liberty's leading run producers. The senior has driven in 22 runs and leads the Flames with 23 runs.
• Due to the burst, Troyer has moved into the CUSA leaders in RBI and runs scored. The outfielder is 10th in CUSA with 34 RBI and is tied for ninth with 38 runs scored on the season.
• The outfielder has hit .300 and posted a .427 on-base percentage over the 24 games. He has eight multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games.
• The former Clemson Tiger started his RBI burst on March 11 against his former team with a home run and triple, two RBI and two runs scored. He hit his fourth home run of the year in his first at bat of the game. • On March 16, he collected three hits and drove in a season-high five RBI in Liberty's win over Princeton. He also pitched a scoreless inning in the game.
• Troyer has been one of the tougher batters to strike out so far this season. The senior is currently the toughest batter to strike out in CUSA and ranks 26th nationally. He has struck once every 13.4 at bats. In 147 at bats, the outfielder has struck out 11 times.
