Liberty to Visit Charlotte on Tuesday

• The Liberty Flames will conclude a four-game road swing when they visit the Charlotte 49ers at Hayes Stadium Tuesday evening. It will be the first meeting between the two teams on the diamond since 1995.Â
• Liberty has had success in midweek games. Entering Tuesday evening's game, the Flames have posted a  5-2 record in midweek games and a 4-1 mark iin Tuesday games.
• The Flames won one of their three-game series at Jacksonville State this past weekend. Liberty won the first game of the series  9-8 in 10 innings on Friday. Down to their last strike in the game, the Flames rallied for three runs to tie the game at 5-5 in the ninth and then won it in the 10th.
•  Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.
Marsh Madness
• The saying goes that "March goes out like a lion," and the same can be said of Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh. Marsh has hit a team-high .400 and scored a team-high eight runs over the final seven games of March.
• The sophomore has also walked five times for a .486 on-base percentage and has five RBI.Â
• Marsh had at least one hit in every game and had four multi-hit games to end the month. He has raised his overall batting average 40 points from .244 to .284 over the stretch.
• Having scored eight runs in the last seven games, the shortstop has scored 28 runs. He is second on the Flames and currently tied for ninth in CUSA in runs scored.
Troyer Drives'em In
• Right fielder Camden Troyer has been one of Liberty's leading run producers over the past three weeks. The senior has driven in 14 runs, tying Jaxon Sorenson for team honors over the 13-game span.
• Troyer enters the week tied for 10th in CUSA with 26 RBI on the season.
• The outfielder has hit .286 with 14 hits and 11 runs scored over the span.  He paces Liberty with five multi-hit and has four multi-RBI games during the 13 games
• The former Clemson Tiger started his RBI burst on March 11 against his former team with a home run and triple, two RBI and two runs scored.  He hit his fourth home run of the year in his first at bat of the game.Â
• On March 16, he collected three hits and drove in a season-high five RBI in Liberty's win over Princeton. He also pitched a scoreless inning in the game.
• Troyer has been one of the tougher batters to strike out so far this season. The senior currently is the toughest batter to strike out in CUSA and ranks 31st nationally.  He has struck once every 13.3 at bats.  In 106 at bats, the outfielder has struck out eight times.
