- FIU outhit Liberty .301-.267 for the match. The Lady Flames led in kills (61-59) and digs (64-61), while the Panthers held the advantage in aces (6-5) and blocks (13-9).
- FIU's Jillian Huckabey posted a double-double with 16 kills and 15 digs, while Rebekah Pfefferkorn recorded 14 kills and three aces and Sofie Vogel totaled 11 kills and five blocks. Savannah Cook dished out 45 assists, while Mandi Morioka collected a match-high 17 digs. Magda Stambrowska posted a match-high eight blocks, followed by five blocks by Kira Givans.
- Jenna Otts scored a season-high 20 kills for Liberty, while Carly O'Brien (13 kills, 16 digs) posted her team-best 10th double-double. Paige Overcash scored 13 kills, while Alison Bierwagen recorded 33 assists and three aces. Laney Daniell registered five blocks, while Molly Littlefield collected 10 digs.Â
- Trailing 17-13 in the first set, FIU went on an 8-0 run, featuring a seven-point service run by Savannah Cook. The Panthers took control on the way to a 25-23 win. FIU overcame a 13-10 deficit to win set two, 25-20.
- After the Lady Flames extended the match with a 25-20, set-three victory, the Panthers held off a late Liberty rally, winning set five, 25-22.
- FIU leads the all-time series in volleyball against Liberty, 4-2, with the Panthers winning each of the last four meetings.
- Otts recorded her first 20-kill match as a Lady Flame and first since scoring 20 kills at Charleston Southern on Oct. 7, 2023 while a freshman at Gardner-Webb.
- Otts (tonight), Paige Overcash (three times) and Carly O'Brien all have at least one 20-kill match this season. The last time three Lady Flames had at least one 20-kill contest in the same year was 2019, Casey Goodwin, Anna Gragg and Amelia Johnson.Â
