
Robinson Signs Professional Contract With CD Póvoa in Portugal

CD Póvoa is based in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal. The team competes in the top-tier Portuguese basketball league, Portugal-Liga Betclic.
Robinson, a forward from Kearney, Neb., played for the Flames for the last five seasons. He finished his Liberty career ranked inside the top 35 in program history in points and rebounds. His 951 points are 34th most in school history, and his 522 boards rank 19th all-time at Liberty. Robinson appeared in 163 games in his five seasons, tied for the second most of any player in program history.
During the 2021-22 season, Robinson averaged 9.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in 33 contests (31 starts). He was named the Hall of Fame Shootout MVP on Dec. 17, 2021 for his performance against East Carolina (14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists). Robinson scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting against North Alabama on Jan. 12, 2023 and added six rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a steal in that contest.
Robinson and the Flames claimed two conference championship titles (ASUN in 2020 and 2021), three regular season crowns (2020, 2021 and 2023) and a divisional title (2022) in his five years at Liberty.
Robinson also excelled in the classroom, earning four ASUN Academic Honor Roll distinctions, two College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team awards, one CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal award and one CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction. Additionally, he is a two-time NABC Honors Court recipient.
