• Liberty begins a five-game road swing through the Carolinas on Wednesday. The Flames will face the UNCW Seahawks at Brooks Field.
The two teams have not met on the diamond since 2014.Â
• After Wednesday's game, the Flames will travel to No. 22 Coastal Carolina for a three-game series this weekend and then meet Charleston on Tuesday.
• Liberty Head Coach Scott Jackson was a member of the UNCW coaching staff as the pitching coach for five seasons from 2003-07.
• After the last five years as a member of the ASUN Conference, Liberty moves to Conference USA in 2024. The Flames have been picked to finish second in the conference's preseason poll.

Jackson Returns to Wilmington
• Liberty Head Coach Scott Jackson returns to UNCW where he spent five years as the Seahawks' pitching coach from 2003-07 on Mark Schalf's staff. It is the first time he will return to Brooks Field as a head coach.
• During Jackson's time at UNCW, the Seahawks posted three consecutive 40-win seasons and captured the Colonial Athletic Association titles in 2004 and 2006. Having never been to a regional in school history, UNC Wilmington also advanced to NCAA Regional play in 2003 (Baton Rouge), 2004 (Kinston) and 2006 (Chapel Hill).
