• Darius McGhee is the program's new all-time leading scorer with 2,384 career points. He scored 19 points this past Saturday against Lipscomb, surpassing Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame member Karl Hess (2,373 points, 1977-80) for the top spot.
• Liberty is in the top 10 nationally in total three-pointers made (No. 3, 276), three-pointers made per game (No. 4, 11.0), assist/turnover ratio (No. 4, 1.64), scoring margin (No. 4, 15.8), effective field goal percentage (No. 5, 57.2) and scoring defense(No. 7, 58.8)
• This is the fifth all-time meeting between the two squads and second of the 2022-23. The Flames topped the Knights 70-53 on the road in their ASUN opener, Dec. 29.
McGhee (20.8 ppg) ranks No. 2 in the nation in both three-point field goals per game (4.46) and total three-pointers made (112). McGhee has 478 career three-pointers, fourth most in NCAA DI history.
• The Flames and Kennesaw State Owls are tied atop the ASUN standings at 10-2. Liberty's 10 conference wins have all been by at least 11 points.
• A win over Bellarmine would give Liberty its seventh straight 20-win season.
The Flames are 72-5 at home over the last five seasons.
• This will be Liberty's 17th all-time game on this date. The Flames sport a 10-6 all-time record on Feb. 9, including a 4-0 mark under Coach McKay. Liberty is 6-1 in its last seven games on this date. The Flames last competed on this date four years ago (Feb. 9, 2019), a 74-67 home win over FGCU at the Vines Center. Caleb Homesley paced a balanced scoring attack for the Flames with 13 points. Scottie James (12 points), Lovell Cabbil (12 points) and Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz (10 points) reached double figures as well.
