
Flames Have 15 Players Named to CUSA Postseason Teams

The Flames wrapped up their first season of play as members of Conference USA with the league's championship trophy and 15 players receiving All-CUSA Postseason honors.
Liberty's first-team all-conference selections include QB Kaidon Salter, RB Quinton Cooley, OL X'Zauvea Gadlin, LB Tyren Dupree, DB Kobe Singleton, DB Brylan Green and KR Aaron Bedgood.
The Flames' second-team all-conference selections include WR CJ Daniels, OL Jonathan Graham, OL Jordan White and DT Jay Hardy.
Liberty placed three more student-athletes on the all-conference honorable mention squad: RB Billy Lucas, OL Xavior Gray and DE CJ Bazile, Jr.
The final postseason honor on the list for the Flames was DE TJ Bush, who was named to the CUSA All-Freshman Team.
The 15 players helped Liberty to an unprecedented season as the Flames went undefeated in CUSA league play with a perfect 8-0 record.
Liberty also claimed its first-ever FBS conference title with a resounding 49-35 win over New Mexico State in the CUSA Football Championship last Friday night at Williams Stadium.
Overall, Liberty is 13-0 for the first time in program history and earned CUSA's first-ever New Year's Six bowl game selection where the Flames will square off against No. 8 ranked Oregon in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. on January 1.
Liberty's eight offensive all-conference selections helped the Flames lead the nation in rushing. The Flames enter bowl season averaging 302.9 yards per game, having rushed for a school-record 3,938 yards and 39 touchdowns.
Defensively, the Flames' five all-conference selections and all-freshman honoree TJ Bush helped Liberty lead the nation with 21 interceptions while ranking No. 2 in the country in turnovers gained (25).
