- This will be the second all-time meeting between the two squads. Liberty topped Tennessee State 64-60 in the only other meeting in 2009 at the Chicago Invitational.

In seven wins, the Flames are shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and 40.2 percent from three-point land while averaging 84.1 ppg and surrendering only 57.7 ppg. - Liberty is No. 57 in the NCAA Men's Basketball NET Rankings. The Flames are also No. 69 in the KenPom out of 362 Division I teams.
- TSU is No. 229 in the NET and No. 245 in the KenPom.
- Kaden Metheny has scored in double figures in eight straight games and is averaging 13.5 ppg during that stretch.
