
Brooks Places 3rd in Bobcat Invitational Women’s 200

New Liberty women’s 100 dash record holder Isis Brooks performed well in her first 200 as a Lady Flame, Friday afternoon at the Texas State Track & Field Complex. She clocked a time of 24.07 for first place in her heat and third overall at the Bobcat Invitational.
ASUN Women’s Track Athlete of the Week Brooks finished near the front of the 86-member field with a 24.07 effort that ranks No. 1 in the ASUN this season and No. 5 all-time at Liberty.
Brooks was competing in her second meet of the day. Friday morning, she ran the third leg of the Lady Flames’ 4 x 100 relay which clocked a season-best time of 46.37 at the Texas Relays in nearby Austin.
