After an opening-season series victory at previously No. 9 Florida this past weekend, the Liberty Flames baseball team is ranked in three major baseball polls, today.
The Flames rank No. 21 in the D1baseball.com, 18 in the Baseball America and No. 24 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers (NCBWA) polls. The polls are the first of the 2022 regular season.
This past weekend, the Flames took the final two games of a three-game series at Florida. Head Coach Scott Jackson’s squad was led by a bullpen which did not allow a run over 11 1/3 innings combined in the two victories.
Ranked No. 21 in the nation, the Flames (2-1) open their 2022 home schedule on Wednesday. Liberty will host the North Carolina A&T Aggies at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
