
Lipscomb Downs Liberty in Series Opener

Lipscomb right-hander Chris Kachmar went the distance, as the Bisons topped the Liberty Flames 9-1, Friday evening at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
In the opener of the three-game ASUN series, Kachmar, allowed the Flames one run on six hits in recording his second complete game of the season.
Lipscomb left fielder Tevin Symonette drove in three runs with a two-run home run and a RBI double, while shortstop Brian Moore also had two hits and belted a solo home run in the contest.
Liberty falls to 12-7 in the ASUN Conference and 33-16 overall. Lipscomb improves to 11-8 in ASUN play and 27-21 overall.

Lipscomb scored twice in the fifth inning to take a 4-1 advantage. Moore led off the inning with a solo home run extending the Bisons advantage to 3-1. Haddon Adams, who scored three times in the contest, walked and scored on a double by Symonette, extending the Bisons' advantage to three.
