2018 National Pole Vault Summit Results
Liberty senior Carson Waters matched his personal-best pole vault clearance of 17-0.75, highlighting the Flames' participation at the National Pole Vault Summit, Saturday at the Livestock Events Center in Reno, Nev.
The reigning Big South indoor and outdoor men's pole vault champion, Waters placed second to Princeton's August Kiles in section 1 of the college men's competition.
On the women's side, redshirt senior Jessie Glynn cleared 11-11.75 for fourth place in section 1 while freshman teammate Rachel Milnes made it over 11-3.75 for the seventh position in her collegiate debut.
Former Flame Alex Geniesse, currently serving as a volunteer assistant coach for his alma mater, vaulted 16-0.75 for second place in section 4 of the open men's competition.
With the meet being a pole vault-only competition, none of the National Pole Vault Summit marks will count toward NCAA or IC4A/ECAC qualification.
