Recently, a familiar face within the Liberty men's basketball program returned to his alma mater, as former forward Alex McLean stopped by the Flames' practice facility.
LFSN's Nick Pierce had a chance to catch up with McLean, who recently retired from professional basketball after playing abroad for about eight years. During the interview, McLean talked about his time in professional basketball and his desire to begin a coaching career.
In just two seasons at Liberty (2006-2008), McLean made a huge impact with the program, garnering Big South All-Conference first team honors in 2008. One of seven Liberty players to post 40 points in a game, McLean is currently third in program history with 27 double-doubles, including a single-season record 15 his senior year (2007-08).
