Alan York of the Liberty Flames Sports Network recently caught up with redshirt senior Ansley Gebben for an update on the 2016 outdoor track & field season.
Most recently, Gebben helped Liberty break a 28-year-old program record in the women's 4 x 800 relay with an 8:56.96 clocking at the Texas Relays on Saturday.
Gebben was also part of the Lady Flames' record-setting 4 x 400 (3:42.64) and 4 x 800 (8:47.12) relay squads during the indoor season. She ran on Liberty's Big South champion 4 x 400 relay quartet and placed second to teammate Delaney McDowell in the Big South 800-meter final.
Liberty will open its home schedule this weekend, when the Flames play host to the Liberty Collegiate Invitational. The meet will take place Friday and Saturday at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex.
