On Tuesday afternoon, LFSN's Nick Pierce had a chance to catch up with Liberty Flames Baseball Head Coach Jim Toman.
The two talked about how preparations for the upcoming 2016 campaign were progressing and look ahead to the season-opening series at South Florida.
The Flames return 17 players from last year's 33-22 squad. A total 18 newcomers will join the Flames' roster in 2016, providing ninth-year head coach Jim Toman with a nice blend of upperclassmen and youth.
As mentioned earlier, Liberty begins 2016 with a three-game series at USF, Feb. 19-21 in Tampa, Fla.
The Flames are scheduled to begin their 29-game home schedule at Liberty Baseball Stadium with a three-game series against UConn on March 4-6.
