York Report: New Baseball for NCAA in 2015

Throughout 2015, LFSN Game On reporter Alan York will take a regular look inside Liberty University athletics in a segment called the "York Report."
This week, York takes a look at the new baseball which will be used in college baseball this season. The new balls have lower seams and are expected to bring more offense into NCAA Division I baseball.
York talks with Flames Head Coach Jim Toman and Pitching Coach Garrett Quinn, along with players Alex Close and Parker Bean, about the change.
No. 23 Liberty will open its 2015 baseball season on Feb. 13 at No. 19 Kennesaw State in the Atlanta Challenge. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Flames will then then travel to Georgia State on Saturday and Georgia Tech on Sunday to round out the Atlanta Challenge during the opening weekend of college baseball.
